Research : Video Style

 Since there are a lot of different music video styles, me and my partner decided that we will stick to heavy VFX type music video. The style of the music video would be similar to how The Weeknd's own Music video looks but we will add more to that and integrate our style and his style to get a good mix of both. 

We met in school to discuss this briefly and in a few days we will scout for some VFX to learn and try to add it to our music video. 

So to sum it up:

Our music video will have alot of VFX so most of the editing work will be on After Effects.

The Genre is R&B so it will have a darkish tone to it which means most of the shooting will take place at night.

There is no fixed storyline but we will try to show the main actor experiencing the affect of drugs he took and overall going crazy over some issue feeling trapped yet also free in the crowd of a city.

Post Production: Editing Main Dancing Scene

 This is the shot of the actor dancing. Not much VFX was needed,  we added the following effects: Lumetri color, GlowEdges, Emboss, GlowRings and Shake. we tweaked the settings of each effect to our liking and here are some before and after of the same shot.
